Research Fellow

The Valley Orthopedic Surgery Residency of Modesto offers a paid one-year research fellowship. The fellowship runs from mid-June to mid-June each year. The research fellow works closely with our residents and faculty to manage various clinical research projects and is expected to submit and present abstracts at annual meetings. The research fellow is encouraged to attend conferences, Grand Rounds and journal club in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

In addition to improving research skills in an academic environment, the goal of the program is to have the research fellow, with full-time research experience and strong letters of recommendation, successfully match into an orthopedic surgery residency position.

Applicants are considered in early Spring.
